Topic: Kittens / proper litter box usage

yeah - the little one had the runs for quite a while.  Now that the medication has done its job, he is much better and uses the box properly.  He may still step on it once in a while, but at least the poo is covered and solid so it doesn't stick to him.  This was my first time dealing with  diarrhea in cats - so who knew?  And who knew it wasn't supposed to stink so much (they had giardia). Thanks for all the feedback!  Everyone is well and happy now!

Topic: Kittens / proper litter box usage

My 7 week old kitty doesn't know how to cover-up his deposits after using the box.  He usually steps on it and comes out of the box in need  of a quick shower.  His sister is a pro - 1- dig hole, 2- deposit, 3- move away a tiny bit, 4- cover, and 5- don't step on it!  Any advise?

Topic: Support And Suggestions / Battle for cuteness - feedback

I like it - very fun!

awards for those with certains number of wins is a good idea, though since you let non-members vote you are opening yourself for possible abuse/cheating.  As long as it's just for fun then even with cheating there is no real harm.  If you lose a lot of battles then you need to get a better profile picture, or I guess, figure out a way to cheat.

- always have you dog voted against another dog (from the profile)? open to abuse/cheating?

Does this mean that my cat A will battle directly with my cat B?  A vs. B in terms of cuteness?  I would rather that not happen.

Is it always the same cat sets battling it out?

Topic: Health, Diet And Vets / Kittens coming soon!!

I adopted a kitten at about 8 weeks old - something like that.  He had just been fixed - it's the policy of the NYC shelters to fix them before they can be adopted.  @ 6 months old is when you should get the rabies vaccine.  We took them to the Humane Society for shots where they are much more affordable around $15 a shot.  Finding a good vet is like finding a good Internest, ask your other cat pals who they see.
