Rev was my daughter's cat until she moved out and abandoned him to me 5 months ago.  Now when she comes over, he taunts her by getting on my lap and ignoring her.  He really shouldn't be a lap kitty at his um...earthshaking 25 pounds.  His long term response to changes in his environment is to pull out large chunks of his hair, usually depositing them on my pillow.  He's a charming member of the household. 

His new favorite activity is pushing the grandchildren off my lap.  Yesterday he got on my lap behind my 3 year old granddaughter and shoved her off.  The grandson he grudgingly shares the lap with since he still outweighs the baby by some 10 pounds or so.

Rev now paces the house from window to window, door to door, in search of his companions.  I'm scared to let him out of the house in case he too goes missing.  He's pulling out large chunks of his hair and leaving them on my pillow in protest.  He clings to me and demands my attention.  Anyone with information about the fate of the other two please contact me.

Bear's mother was killed by a wild car when he was 3 weeks old.  There being 6 kittens in the litter, I adopted 2 of them to see if we could save them.  He suffered through eye infections and intestinal disturbances, as did his sister.  Both lived with me until last summer when his sister was adopted by some children in the neighborhood after she was spayed. 

Roughly a week ago Bear went missing.  I'm definitely feeling paranoid about my neighbor now.  After contacting city hall as well as animal control and the humane society I can only hope he is safe and happy and continue looking for him....  I suspect he too is a victim of my neighbor's catch and release program.

WOO HOO! he's home this am 8/2/2008.  Skinny as a rail and clingy but he seems healthy.

Meg's cat...supposedly.  He adopted me since i'm the one home the most... that's unfortunate, since I'm the one who refers to him as fat bastard.  His extremely thick peachy yellow fur sheds copiously and both Rev and Bear sport tufts of it between their claws from disciplining the squirrely fellow.  His favorite activity lately seems to be taunting them with his still extant testicles.

On or about Claws birthday, he went missing.  We have a neighbor with a "humane" trap that he sets to deal with kitties too recalcitrant to stay at home.  Claws loves the outdoors.  After contacting city hall and following up twice at the animal shelter as well as the humane society, I suspect our dear neighbor has a catch and release program all his own.

I will continue searching for the fat bastard and hope that at the very least he's happy in his current surroundings.
