My early story is a sad one.  I was orginally owned by a young woman and her boyfriend who abused me.  I was kept tied up by the neck and eventually the rope was too short and I ended up hanging by my neck while the rope cut into my throat.  I was beaten and had several ribs broken.

Eventually my owner abandoned me and her roomate called the MSPCA because I was so terrified I attacked anyone who came within five feet of me.  The MSPCA trapped me and tried to put me down, but I was so vicious they could not get near me with a needle.  THe MSPCA called the local no-kill, Saint Meows who rescued me.

I stayed at Saint Meows for a few years.  I was near feral from fear and I was not safe to be adopted.  Saint Meows waited for the right owner.  Eventually she showed up.

My moved into my new owners tiny Beacon Hill apartment and she used her training in application of behavior analysis and special education to help me learn to trust her.  A couple of years later we moved north to a larger apartment.  I still have huge issues with trust, but I have come a long way.  I can tolerate petting now and cuddle frequently.  I cannot tolerate anyone but my owner, but I am getting along fine.
