Morning Time

I just don't understand humans sometimes.  Usually, my mommy wakes up in the morning when the black box starts beeping.  That's when it's happy time for me!  She goes into the bathroom, and I roly poly on her feet and she pets me.  It's my favorite.  But every now and then (usually once or twice every week), the black box doesn't beep and mommy and daddy don't get out of bed.  I try to be helpful, so I emulate the black box.  I meow and meow and meow until they start to stir.  But they just keep laying there!  So I meow some more and jump on the bed.  Then they start petting me on the bed.  Why don't they understand that it's time to get up and have morning bathroom snuggles?  Ugh, humans!

Punky

Frubin Returns!

I am very glad to announce that Frubin has been found alive and well! We have been apart for so long, I feared we would never be reunited.  There couldn't be a more joyous occasion!  For those of you who don't know Frubin, I pity you.  However, I shall tell you his story...

A couple of years ago, I received my first Christmas present ever.  I didn't even know what Christmas was, except that it involved ribbons... LOTS of ribbons.  I was even allowed to unwrap my gift all by myself.  When the paper was sufficiently ripped to shreds, I saw the most wonderful green fuzzy frog staring back at me.  Frubin and I bonded instantly.  We had many good times together - mostly me chasing him and tossing him about the house.  I took him with me everywhere I went.  Unfortunately, this proved to be his demise.  A sad day came... I buried Frubin alive in my litter box, and he was taken out with the dirty litter - never to be seen again.

I mourned for weeks.  Frubin, my best friend, was gone.  I thought his space in my heart could never be filled.  That was until I met Frubin, Jr.  My mom gave me Frubin, Jr. to help me get over the heartache of losing Frubin, Sr.  He looked exactly the same, and we became best friends in an instant.  More chasing and tossing about ensued.  I even took Frubin with me when I moved in with my Aunt Peecho for awhile.  At her place, we liked to play hide and seek.  I would hide him under the bed and seek him later.

One day, my mom finally moved to a new home.  It wasn't long before I came to join her.  But tragedy struck once again.  Frubin was lost during the move.  I couldn't find him anywhere!  No more chasing or tossing or hide and seek.  It took months, but I finally moved on.  I sought comfort in my catnip pillows.  But then, a miracle occurred!  Frubin was found!  It turns out he was in my toy box all along, snuggling up the other toys.  I'm so happy!  Now we can play chasing and tossing and running again.  I promise never to take him in my litter box, though.

Love,

Racer
