There I was, covered in fleas and caught between an apartment's A/C unit and downspout....a certain rock and a hard place, if you will.  Well, after a good bit of fussing and crying, I was found.  At first, I didn't know what to think of the guy that had "rescued" me b/c he dumped me under water; I thought he was trying to drown me.  What's worse was that the fleas started biting harder, and no matter how loud or how much a cried they still bit and the guy still kept dunking me under water.  Finally, he put me in a bathroom and shut the door...it seemed like forever, but then he came back.  This time, not only did he stick me in water he lathered me up with this smelly soap.  I tried to get free not knowing what was going on, but he held tight and continued to scrub.....and wouldn't you know it, the fleas all died.  He then dried me off and gave me a little food to munch on.  He was very nice and would pet and talk to me......I soon fell asleep on his lap.  I don't remember how long I was out, but when I awoke there was a woman there.  She was nice too and put me on her chest to cuddle.  For the first time in my life I felt safe, but I was still very unsure what would happen to me.  I must admit, when it was finally decided that I was going to stay with them, that was the happiest day of my young life...I finally had a mommy and daddy.
