But aren't I a cutie!? I am already spayed and recently I was updated on my vaccines. Because of me being such a 'scaredy cat', I would prefer a home with adults, and no small children or dogs. As you can see I am OK with cats. I came from a home with 3 kitties, and 2 dogs. But, it was a large home, and I hid from the dogs, I didn't like them much. I would prefer my new home to be quiet and dog free! I am currently hanging out in a foster home, with a bunch of other kitties, and loving life! When I have my physical the doctor said I needed a dental, but right now Pets In Need cannot afford that, so they are hoping my new home will be able to help me out with that. In the meantime they are trying to raise money to give myself and other kitties dentals. Oh I hate the vets office! My name is Pat I am about a year old domestic short haired female kitten. I am a very playful and curious little lady. When I was first brought to Pets in Need I was very scared and defensive. I am now in a foster home with several other cats and I am doing great. I DO NOT like to be held or picked up and patting me is all on my terms but I am getting better with that. When my foster mom talks to one of the other cats I do look for her to pay attention to me. I will sometimes sit on her lap and look to be brushed but I use my cat "sign language" to let you when I am done. I would love a kitten or a young playful cat to play with in my new home. I will need an experienced cat person that will understand the commitment in giving me a forever home. I also need someone that will work with me and learn to understand my cat "sign language" as you might say. Hello! my name is Maxine. I am so pleased to meet you. I am one of the most super sweet kitties you will ever meet. I just love to be pet, and as you call tell, I am beautiful! My tail seems to be part Maine Coon, and I have an adorable little orange spot on my forehead. I am about 5 years old, up to date on my vaccines and spayed. I love to be cuddled, but can become quite playful when I've had enough petting, so I might not be a good match for a home with young children or dogs. I have a good time here at the shelter, but would love to have more room to run around and play, people to snuggle up to whenever I want, and windows to gaze out of.


I was found by the local animal control, and never claimed. The nice rescue people had me FELV/FIV tested, and turns out I am FIV+. Not sure exactly what that means, but the rescue people said not to worry, that I could still find a loving home. I have a live-and-let-live rapport with most male cats, but need to be the dominant female cat! I am also perfectly content to be your one and only kitty.
