When the Mom's Away the Cat's will Play
Well, our human is back. We liked the cat sitter this time but because we don't like our human being away on vacation one of us left a hugh fur ball in the hallway, one of us knocked the office chair over, one of us tore the bathroom curtains down and one of us pulled the string out of the hoodie that was hanging over the back of the office chair and one of us knocked the phone on the floor and last but not least one of us trying to eat the flowers knocked the whole vase over. Mr. Jazz. MiMi and Mama Cat are not telling who did what.Oh No!! The Cat Sitter
To our friends and others-we're stuck with the cat sitter while our human goes to the Shakespeare Festival-while she's away the cat sitter won't allow us on the computer. The sitter brings us treats but we'll miss our human. We'll give you a meow when she gets back.

Black Cats Have Good Karma
Back in the day-the 70's-when I spent some time at a zen retreat the sensei there had 5 black cats. One day I had to ask "Sensei, why do you have only black cats?" The sensei replied "Black cats have good karma." Now the sensei was always testing us in mysterious ways, so I stood there waiting for the zen punch line. He did that knowing zen laugh and said, "There is nothing more to learn than black cats have good karma. Your path is not here, go dance." So jump ahead to the present-a plumber came to my house to fix the never ending running toilet. He walks in and the first thing he says is "You have a black cat. I have three black cats. I only have black cats because they have such good karma." And finally someone fixed the never ending running toilet and it has never run since.
Mimi's Big Adventure-Hang 5
Mimi always wants to do what the big kitties do. Mr. Jazz jumps up on the top railing of the sliding shower door to sit and watch me take a bath or a shower. Mama Cat likes to get up on the railing and in a full straddle falls asleep. I leave the sliding shower door open so that Mimi can chase the water down the drain and sometimes I leave a little water in the tub for her to play in-she's my water baby. Today MiMi decided to get up on the railing-I'm feverishly working at home to get ready for dance classes to start in September when I hear this loud, wailing, please help me little kitty cry from the bathroom. I run in and what do I see-Mimi hanging off the railing on one front paw waiting for me to rescue her. Instead of doing a hang 10 she was doing a hang 5 and terrified. I reached up and plucked the little thing down to safety. We're safe and sound now.
