Hello! My name is Nero. I was adopted from the Palo Alto Animal Shelter on February 3, 2006, and have been living at my new home ever since. Before I came here, I lived in a home where my owners locked my in a bathroom and didn't play with me, so I'm happy to be with my new owners. I love to meet new people and sniff their shoes. I am very friendly and love to be pet, especially behind the ears, but I'm not a big purrer. I will lick your ears if you get too close. I am medium-sized, black with a spot of white on my belly, and have yellow eyes. My fur is bushy and makes me look bigger than I am. I weigh about 11 pounds and love to eat! I get along well with other cats, including my housemate Angela. I am an indoor cat, which I don't like that much, but I know it's safer for me this way. I do try to escape sometimes though. Everyone who comes to visit loves me and plays with me a lot--that's my favorite thing ever! I love having my string pulled for around the house.
