I found Cookie in an animal shelter. She was very little and so shy but as soon as you stroked her she began to purr

I then already had another cat - Tea Cake - that was very self conscious. At the beginning I was afraid that she would never accept the little. After a few weeks they went together rather well. They never became best friends - Tea Cake was strong and the boss in my house, she was afraid of nothing and nobody while Cookie was afraid of everything and everybody. Often of me,too. The first two month I could approach her only when I was crawling otherwise she would run away.

Four years later I moved to another flat where I have a back yard. Unfortunately there is a street which is rather frequented and my fearless Tea Cake was hit by a car.

Being the only cat now, so being number one, she flourished. As time passed by she became more and more courageous, sometimes even audacious.

This year the vet found out that she has kidney failure. It's not so bad, still in the beginning, so I feed her a special diet and try to stabilize her. So far it seems to work.

She is still shy regarding other people, especially foreign people but she is a very kind, sweet and cuddly little thing and I love her from all my heart.
