This was a failed foster.  I fostered Hermes, his brother and sister when they were barely 2 weeks old.  I was undergoing cancer treatment at the time and the kittens helped me with the fear.  I had 4 dogs, still do, but babies are an incredible joy.  I returned the kittens to the shelter when they were 2 lbs so they could be adopted out.  Hermes, who was a terror on paws, looked at me from his crate and meowed.  I still left him there, heaven knows I didn't need another being to take care of.  Two days later, he was ours legally.  He has bossed and annoyed the dogs ever since though Hermes is convinced he is a canine.  He weighs 12 pounds so he does weigh more than most of my dogs but he is a great companion and good company.
