I was brought into the shelter at 3wks old by someone who found me.  i was fostered by Sherri.  I had a neurological problem and did nothing but walked in circles.  I later came dowm with an eye infection and that eye was later removed.  My foster mom soon found out that I was totally deaf, and at that time, I knew my hopes to be adopted was next to nill.  My foster mom decided to rescue me and I was known to everyone as her "one-eyed, totally deaf neurological kitty".  Everyone loved me.  I learned commands with vibrations and sign language.

I became friends and apart of her family and my other 5 rescued kitties and her adopted dog, abbie (who is on mydogspace.com). I enjoyed life with them and never regretted having the second chance to show that even an animal like me can get a second chance at EVERYTHING.

I later came down with cancer and I passed away in my owner's arms.  I have now crossed over the Rainbow Bridge where I am joined by many animals who has been rescued, adopted and loved by many, and mostly, joined by all who had received second chances.

I gave life to many, but it took one to show me what life is all about.  Special Ed

My life has been very exciting and full of love. I was an adoption return twice and the third time i was returned to the shelter because my owner was going overseas.  I knew that after 3x, my chance of being adopted again was almost zero.  Nobody wanted an old, fat and lazy cat--yes, I was up there in age.  Then came Sherri, who loved cats/kittens of all sizes and ages. She said that she fell in love me because I was a big boy and just a  lazy tuxedo cat.  After 5 awesome years with her, I came down with cancer and it was sudden.  She loved me unconditionally. I was very well known for my deep meow, none of the wussy sound.  I lived up to my size.

 Now, I am in heaven with my brother, Special Ed, and he is never alone. I am surrounded by all animals who has been rescued, saved, bred over and over again, injured and those who just was "disposed".  Here, everyone is loved no matter where they came from and how they got here.

My name is skeeter.  I was "dropped off" at JHS, Jax, Fl because my owner said I was "defected".  I am a "phocomelial bilateral kitty", which means I have no front "elbows" so I walk on my arms.  I was born this way.  I was actually a gift to the previous owner.  I guess I grotesqued her and she would find it hard to love a "deformed" kitty. I was rescued at 5wks old.  I am very loveable and fluffy.  I love life and I am not limited to anything.  I can play, jump, hop, and talk.  My BFF is Special Ed, and he went to the Rainbow Bridge.  Someday. we will meet again.

I love to lay on the hardwood floor, but I have great difficulty walking on it.  So, my mommy has laid down area rugs which leads to the "cat room".  She is always looking after all her special needs kitties. 

My name is lillybelle, and i am a 3-legged siamese-snowshoe.  I came into the shelter in a humane trap, feral as all get-go.  I came in injured, not by other animals or nature, but by the humane trap...my rear leg got caught in the trap door and I was left there till the next day when the trapper came.  The injury was bad because I had panicked and started to gnarl my leg off. Would you believe I was about 3wks old and already learning the survival game???  The awesome clinic veternarian did a great job in making me well, and that included my leg had to be amputated. I was soon fostered by Sherri who later rescued me.

I have been living life well, and I think how fortunate I was to be rescued(even if that means being trapped).  I can't imagine what life would had been for me if I was still out on the street and fighting for food.  I am alitttle bit feral and I do wreck up the house from time to time, but i have company--my other rescued cats and dog that lives with me.  My two brothers has crossed the rainbow bridge (Special Ed and The Chad), my sister dog, Abbie, is on mydogspace.com.

I'm glad I am going to meet a lot of furry pals and become their BFFs.

choco is my name and being lazy is my game. I am a stray who lived from house to house and became friends with whomever fed me.  It was a boring and lonely life, and my life was very solitaire.  One day, new neighbors moved on the block and they started to feed me.  Well, she started to show attention to me--she started to brush and cut the mats out of my hair and made me look and feel like a king.  She realized I was neutered and was happy, but then horrified when she found out I had been front-declawed, missing teeth and living outside. She took me to the vet and got me vaccinated and my rabies vaccination also.  I really became appreciative of her and then she allowed me to live on her screened in porch(she was also happy I am litterbox trained). I still roam the neighborhood by day and usually stay on the front lawn, but I always came home at night.

I am grateful that I can no longer call myself a stray, and that someone took the time out to make me feel like a king.

My name is sobe and I was a very lucky kitty. It was a really hot summer day in Jacksonville, fl and I was wandering the parking lot aimlessly.  I was lethargic, scared, hungry and dirty.  I don't even know I got onto the parking lot.  My owner spotted me when she was going to lunch with her bff.  She told her bf that if I was still there when she gets off from work, she was going to take me home.  Well, she found me and I was resting underneath a car parked in the handicapped parking space.  She put me in her nifty suv and took me home,  She gave me advantage and wet and dry food and water.  I was scared for a few days and then i came out of my shell. Sherri was(and still is) my gaurdian angel.

I am now neutered and fat, but very happy and thankful.  Thankful that she kept her word, and thankfull that I believed in her.

So, she tells me I am her "velcro kitty" but I cling to her side. I don't know why because i know sherri will never leave me.  I spend my days sitting by the window waiting for her to come home, and spend the nights whereever she roams in the house. I was given a second chance, and forever grateful. :-)
