Optical Scariness

Okay. Here’s a question for you. Have you ever awaken in the middle of the night and immediately been scared out of your mind and wonder what the heck is that? I have on numerous occasions and here’s why. Last night was a perfect example. I had a horrible time getting to sleep and when I finally DID fall asleep, I couldn’t stay in said sleep. So, upon waking up, I didn’t see the usual blue glow of the clock beside my bed. I didn’t see the ENORMOUS mount everest sized pile of clothes beside my bed. NO. Instead, all I seen were two big eyes about an inch away from my face staring at me. Apparently, my cat has took it upon herself to check and make sure I’m still breathing by getting as close as she can to my face and staring at me until I wake up and look back at her and acknowledge that she’s there. One of these days I’m going to pay back the favor to her by waiting til SHE’S sound asleep and wake her by staring an inch from HER face. No doubt I’ll probably get scratched in the process, but no matter. At least I will have the satisfaction of repaying the favor to my feline best friend.
This was for all you pet owners out there. Now I must go home and feed the TRUE ruler of the household, for behold we are just lowly servents to the cat queen.
