She arrived 9 years ago, in April.  Very calm and affectionate, but suddenly her tummy started getting rounder and rounder.  I didn't want to keep her, but my Mom did like her.  So on June 3rd, she had her babies under the porch of a neighbor.  Some 5 weeks later, she arrived with all her kittens at twilignt, and I started counting  1, 2, 3, until 6 kitties, all grey with stripes, made an appearance.  I was flabbergasted.  We tought that she has lost some, since the beginning of June was very cold.  I finally made some kind of enclosure in the basement to put the kitties in, with a big litter box, toys, scratching post.  That way, I was sure, they will be warm, in security, and I will be able to have them use the litter box and be social.  Five of the were adopted, I kept Ernesto and the mom.  I don't have Ernesto anymore, but I still have Adele. 

She was a great mama, the last 2 kittesn (they were almost 2 months old, and were still suckling and she was spayed.  With all of her stitches showing,  it didn't seem to bother her to still have 2 big kittens still drinking.  The vet told me that when she will be ready to ween them, she will do it.  And that's  what she did.

Arrived as a stray, was very shy at first, but didn't take long to warm up to us.  A very good cat, very affectionate, he drools when we pet him.  Very funny looking, but so gentle.

I was adopted from a shelter in Montreal.  Mom wasn't sure about getting me, she was looking for a smaller cat, orange.  But when she saw me, she couldn't leave me there.  I was going to live in the country, with lots of birds, trees (I was living in an apartment...) and many new feline friends.  My former parents told my "new" mom, that I liked to cuddle under the blanket, I think I was scared of all the noise in the big city, because since I lived here, I did it only once or twice.  I prefer to sleep on the sofa in the basement or outside in the sunshine.  Running after the squirrels, or trying to climb a tree are now  part of my life and I like it very much.

I've been looking for so long for a calico cat.  Here she was at the vet, waiting to be adopted.  When the receptionnist, told me there was a calico cat for adoption, I had to take a look, she was so cute and lovable, I couldn't resist.  She was brought to the vet to be put to sleep, but my vet tries every time to have them adopted.  She has been to several families before coming to mine, even if she was only 6 months old.  I had her sterilised, give all of her shots and bring her home.  She is very happy with us.

Likes to sleep reclining on a wall, or a chair, very funny.

I like having myself brushed, I will follow you anywhere if you have one!  But not the belly, oh no, not there.
