Off to the vet
Vet visit today. Lucky us (yeah, right).
Squeakers: I was the first shoved into the carrier. I was nervous when Mom got them out yesterday, but then nothing happened until today. I struggled only a little. The car ride was uneventful, but I still don’t like that. We didn’t have to wait too long in the waiting room, but then came the jab. Then, they said that I’m a senior cat & took me into the back to jab me again to draw blood. That was bad enough, but being called a senior cat was just insulting! They brought me back in & I walked around a bit till Mom picked me up & put me on her lap with Hailey. The vet came in & looked at me first. She said that I was very handsome & had such a great personality (I didn’t try to kill her). I just laid there, limp, like the good boy that I am. She said that I was more like a 4 or 5 year old, not one turning 8 this year. She wouldn’t guess me to be a senior cat. That made me proud. Then, it was back into the carrier & home soon enough. There, Missy hissed at me because I smelled like the vet. I’ve been relaxing since & am OK. I’m not in a hurry to go back though.
Hailey: I’m proud to say that I put up more of a fight against going into the carrier. No easy going for me. I even voiced my displeasure in the car on the way to the vet. After I got stuck with a needle, I didn’t get taken away like Squeakers did. I explored the room a little before I hid under the chair. Mom got me out from there & held me on my lap. It felt good being there & having her pet me. Squeaks came back in & joined us there. I got the seat to myself while the vet was examining him, then it was my turn. I was shaking! She was very nice to me & gave me attention. I ended up liking that. She said that I have pretty green eyes. Tell me something I don’t know, but I accepted the compliment. I was quite the lady & nice to everyone there. I’m just glad to be home. Missy hissed at me; too, but that’s pretty normal around here.
Blog Meows
What a big day you had! SENIOR?? At 8? Well I beg to differ! I'm Louie, and I'll be 11 this year, but Mom said kitties have 9 lives, and I've only used 4, so it's estimated that I'll live to be 54, which really makes me just a kid!!
