We found Lily in the pennysaver. She was born outside and was used to being outside. We kept her indoors from the day we got her. She was very shy and would hide. She finally opened up. She had to get used to our other cat Samantha who we had already had for about a year before we got Lily. They didn't get along at all at first. We had to keep them enclosed in our sunroom to get them to learn how to get along. They finally calmed down and before long were taking naps together. :)

We got Samantha on the 4th of July in 2001 hence her name. If she were a male we would have called her Sam for Uncle Sam. She was so tiny when I got her. I can't believe she now weighs 25 lbs. She's my fat cat. I love her so much. She was my first cat and real pet. I had had 2 ducks and a rabbit when I was younger but it's not the same. It has been such a great experience and I can't wait to spend the next 10+ years with her. I take her to the vet regulalry and although she's overweight she is very healthy! She's like the mom cat when it comes to her and our other cat Lily. Samantha just looks at Lily like, what are you doing? She hides in our couch during thunderstorms.
