Earthquakes, Typhoons and Cockroaches, OH MY!

Here's the story...

We are fine NOW...but last night was pretty scary. At 1:06am, the bed started to shake. Mom and I just looked at each other and waited for it to stop. It took a while.

Nothing TOO unusual for that size of earthquake. We have them from time to time.

BUT!! at 1:50am the bed started to shake again. I think mom felt it before me as it was different from the first one...and as we all know, the second (after shock) is often much stronger than the first.

It was a doozy.

Our building (we are on the 7th floor so lots and lots of movement the higher up!!) was a rocking and a rolling. Mom actually grabbed me and got out of bed. That made me worry cause she never does that. EVER.

So we stood in the kitchen (me safe in mom's arms)...kinda in the doorway. I think mom was figuring out her next move...the second quake was about a minute...loooong.

Anyway, things settled down. We went back to bed.

I crawled up onto moms throat (i did it to comfort her!!)...just `cause I don't do that on a normal basis doesn't mean that I was scared, ya know.....

We are sooooooooo not going to miss earthquakes!!
