Maggie's Vet Visit
For the past 2 wks. I haven't been my normal bouncy self. I stopped bouncing off the walls & became for lethargic & wouldn't eat. Wednesday, whenever Mommy got home from college she picked me up & felt of me, I was extremely hot. It was warm in the house, but I didn't feel like all of the other animals did. Mommy looked me over & found that one of my canine tooth was a double tooth & it was red on top of it. Mommy gave me some tuna & I gobbled it up, so I kinda had an appetite. I went to the vet yesterday & they took my temperature & it was 104.8 degrees! Mommy was right that I was running a fever. They said I had a viral infection. So, they gave me 3 shots, antibiotic & vitamin shot, some other shot I can't pronounce, some anitibiotic drops. I also have to take amoxycillian every morning & night which started this morning before Mommy left for classes. Mommy is deathly allergic to any cillians like penicillian & that stuff, so her Dad has to give it to me. Mommy knew something was wrong whenever she brought me home whenever I was a baby, because I would sneeze all of the time not normal for an animal, so she thought I was either allergic or I had a cold. Since money has been tight she couldn't take me to the vet just yet. Since, I got worse her Dad found a way to pay for it. $53.00 for a bunch of bullcrap stuff though. Her Dad has been doing more jobs for her mom who owns their business even though they are divorced. Her Dad is a retired postmaster so he has to watch money even though they are alright. She gets money for college. Her mother has a lot of drama that puts stress on mommy so & she's trying to move in with her fiance & then marry him so she really can't take the stress of a job & her Dad doesn't want her to even though her mom is always on her butt to get one. Her mother is messed up, because it's alright for her son & daughter-in-law to live with her & she pay for almost anything for them including bills & the girl has a job but the son doesn't, but yet it's not right for her daughter (the first child to go to college) & not have a job.
Well, yesterday afternoon after taking a couple of naps I was feeling a little better, not bouncey, but at least I'm purring again. Mommy doesn't think it will take long for me to be my normal self again.
