Sunshine spent the last 5 years of his all-too-short life battling thyroid problems and kidney failure.  Though he HATED the daily pills and subcutaneous fluids he had to get to keep him alive, he remained sweet, loving and leading a good life until the very end.  His brother and human family will never stop mourning his passing over the Rainbow Bridge

I chose my new family because my old owners didn't believe cats should be allowed inside their house, no matter how bad the weather.  It took a long time to convince my new family that I could be their cat because they already had a cat and didn't think they could have 2.  But I was persistent and they finally embraced me into their home.  For the first few months, I was afraid to come in through the door because my old owners would push me away when I tried to come in.  So I would climb up on my new homes windows so my mommy would open them up and let me in.  I loved my new family and let them know how much I appreciated them for the next 10 years of my life.  Unfortunately my kidneys failed then my lungs started filling with fluid, and after over a year of lovingly-administered (if somewhat uncomfortable) treatments, I crossed the Rainbow Bridge
