This works every time:  leave a dead mouse on the computer.  Believe me, your Mom won't look at it for days.  (Hehehe. I know this from experience.)

We go right for what we want and lay right on top of the keyboard even while the human is working away-we will not be ignored and we will not move until we are given our due.

normally when i want to get mommy's attention i paw at her or when i want to be really mean i attack her and bite her hard. sometimes she bleeds, never a good thing cuz mommy puts me in the kennel and it defeats the purpose. but just start cuddling with your humans and they will stop for a while.
