Hi everybody

I am Nizo, short for Cenizo. I am one year old.  I live in California.  I share my home with my other brothers, Hershey, Pilo, and seven birdies.

My parents were walking their dog Hershey one rainy night in December and the minute I saw them, I wanted them to be my parents.  I approached them and I was not intimidated by their dog.  Hershey looked at me but was not bothered by my presence.  I followed this couple to their house where they fed me and cherished me with their love. 

I was a 5 month old kitty when I chose them to be my parents.  I was very skinny and bonny when I came to them .  They felt sad that such a beatiful kitty like me was wondering the streets and had no one to care for me.  My mommy even cried because of the condition I was in.  So cute and so neglected!!!

They decided to keep me after the 30 day claim period Peninsula Humane Society suggested they wait to legally adopt me.  I haven't left their house ever since.

Now, I weight close to 10 lbs.  I have tons of toys which my sister Hershey takes away from me whenever she can.  She and I get along well.  She grooms me and plays with me while our parents work hard to feed us.  She's a bit jeaulous at times when my parents pay more attention to me.  What can I say, I'm just a handsome cat !!!!

I am an indoor cat .  I am my parents' first cat and they're still learning things about me.  They do not allow me to go out unless they're present.  They don't want me to get lost and end up back on the unsafe streets.  

If your story is similar to mine, I'd like to hear about it.  I can't wait to meet more cats/kitty friends out there!!!

UPDATE: 3 weeks ago, my parents were walking Hershey (my sister dog) and she heard the crying of a young kitty.  She followed the sound until she spotted a gorgeous young kitty.  They think she's about 2 months or so.  I've heard them tell friends that the kitty came out of the bushes and rubbed her face against Hershey's face and was licking her.  Hershey apparently loved that affection and allowed the young cat to do that to her.  My daddy picked up the kitty to inspect her and as suspected, she had NO tag.  My daddy said to the kitty, "If you follow me home, then I guess you're meant to be part of my family".  The kitty followed him home and now she has a home at his in-laws.  They adore her to death.  His mother-in-law had always wanted a young cat and the opportunity came up and she took her in.  Her name is Julie because she was found and rescued in July....funny ha!

Julie is strictly indoors.  She has tons of toys.  Hershey takes some of them away whenever she visits her.  Julie brings lots of joy and harmony to her family.  Everyone who visits them, cannot leave before they play with her.  Julie is very affectionate and LOVES people and other animals.

Please continue saving more stray animals...they really need loving homes with owners who will cherish them with love.
