Ambika (originally known as Duchess) was the first in an ever-growing line of rescued kittens I have raised and rehomed.  She came to the shop I work in at about 4-5 weeks of age.  She was very small but very sweet.  She spent her first week or two drinking KMR out of a dish before she learned to start switching to canned and dry foods.  She grew up to be very loving.  At about 4-5 months of age, Ambika went home to live with my sister and her other kitties.  She's now just over a year and doing very well.

Kaos came to me alone, abandoned by his mother and littermates at a construction site in the sweltering heat.  A kind woman brought him to the shop about a week after I took Phoenix and Aremis home.  I put him in with the bigger boys and they snuggled right up together.  Kaos was pretty dehydrated and required a few days of force-feeding before he gained enough strength to drink on his own.  I think he was either abandoned intentionally by his mother, or suffered heatstroke after being accidentally abandoned.  Either way, the result is that he's a little slow in the head.  He frequently stares/bats at nothing and cries a lot.  He's been adopted by my mother, who finds his peculiar ways endearing.

Baby Kitty came to the shop with a twin sister and a very tiny brother.  Someone immediately adopted her brother, but unfortunately her and her sister, who were only 3-4 weeks old, remained at the shop and began to decline.  Her sister got very sick and didn't survive.  Someone came in and wanted to take Baby Kitty home, but since she's too young and too sick, she wasn't able to go yet.  I took Baby Kitty home and am currently trying to bring her around.  She's underweight, dehydrated, and just not feeling well in general.  She's been doing better, and I have hopes that she'll pull through and go home to the family that's waiting for her.
