In October 2007, Rep. Robert E. Andrews (D-NJ) introduced a bill in Congress to designate the first Saturday of every October as National Animal Rescue Day in order to "create awareness for animal rescue programs throughout the year, address the challenge of overpopulation through continued spaying and neutering of adopted pets, and bring Americans together as a Nation to support this common goal." Had Congress acted on this bill, October 4, 2008 could have been the first National Animal Rescue Day. Help us make sure October 3, 2009 is National Animal Rescue Day - ask your representative to support this legislation to promote animal rescue and pet adoption today!

Dear Representative, I am an animal lover and I support Representative Robert Andrew's efforts to designate the first Saturday of every October as National Animal Rescue Day (H.Res.749). As many as four million dogs and cats are euthanized in animal shelters every year. This loss of animal life is tragic, and a National Animal Rescue Day would help to promote both the need for pet adoption as well as educate and raise funds for spay and neuter programs to reduce animal overpopulation. September Is For...
Well; June 1st to November 1st; is for Hurricanes!!!
We; Annie and Flex; live in Cutler Bay (Miami), Florida; with, our human; Mommy; in a rental apartment; with, A/C; and; a balcony.
The complex has a pool, internet room, and, a fitness center. (She thinks it's kinda nice...)
We do like; our, stroller; for walks...November to June...too, hot in the summer; except to the pool.
We have Pet Carriers (for the Vet); and; harnesses and leashes; too.
Our, Indoor things; include:
A shag pet condo, and, a carpeted scratching post; from the PetSmart Collection.
A nylon pet condo, with, hammocks; from the Publix Market.
Annie has; all, Hello Kitty (toy basket, posters, tiny Kitty and Mimi dolls, toothbrush, charm, sticker book) and Disney Princess (dish, statue, Princess Outfit, bubble wand) stuff; and; a talking doll; that, cries; when, she bites the hand; or; laughs; when, she bites the other hand. Oh! her Teddy Bear; Daisy; wears diapers; Frog, Talking Rabbit; Diva and Princess Pillows (small); and; two; different pocketbooks of mice; are; much, else; of; what, she has.
She has two; dresses (one, is Spicey Girl); two; nightgowns; a Pink Polo Shirt; a Valentine Heart T-Shirt; and a Camoflage Polo to match Flex's Hoodie. Her Costumes include: a Santa Hat and a Clown Collar; also, a Pirate Costume.
Flex has; all, Spiderman (toy basket, posters, mobile, window-cling doll, matchbox car, sticker book, dish, bubble wand) stuff; and; a large Lion King Simba (plush). His Teddy Bear is Sammy (also, wears diapers); Lil' Devil Teddy Bear; Talking Rabbit; Rock Star Pillow (small); and the PetSmart; ex-large; fur, Mouse; are; much, else; of; what, he has.
He has a Bad Boy Skate (Goldengecko) T-shirt; a Blue Polo Shirt; a Valentine Heart T-Shirt; a Black; with, Skull and Bones; in, Camoflage; Hoodie. His Costumes include: a Santa Hat; an, Uncle Sam Hat; a Striped Tie; and a Pirate Costume.
There are many, other things ; but, whatever_they love DVDs and have a large collection_:

Anyway, besides; the story of our spoiled lives_this weekend is a wait for Hurricane Ike_the last one; was Gustav (which, passed us; but, was deadly).
We have to put our balcony chairs in the living room (great smells) and our plants in the kitchen.
She has shopped for litter; and; her food (ours was stocked up); she got out the food dispenser; and; water dispenser; that, hold a weeks worth.
We finished the laundry and that smells great!!!
We're watching HDTV_ it has the weather channel_we're cosy, and, hoping for the best.
