A coworker rescued a couple of pregnant cats and decided she couldn't take care of them so I took one and someone else took the other one. About a month later the one I took had a litter of 5 kittens in my son's bedroom. Domino was one of those kittens. She was a very tiny black cat with white paws and she looked like a large Domino so naming her was easy. I found homes for mom and the other kittens and we kept Domino.

As soon as we took her out of the box to hold her she would start climbing until she got to your shoulder and then she would perch there. She isn't a cat who will  let you cuddle her, but she will jump on any shoulder that is within reach. It's like she wants to do the cuddling.

Her mom and litter mates were a pale beigy color with longish hair. The mom had Siamese markings and some of her siblings had a combination of Siamese marking with a few calico type splotches.

Domino has white feet and a white chest.

This cat showed up in a horse barn one day. The trainers were afraid he would be killed by a horse. He would walk behind and under the horses and they thought it was only a matter of time before he got stepped on so my son and I agreed to take him.

If you search Cait Sith on the internet, you'll find a minor character in the video game Final Fantasy VII, and this cat looks just like that.

Cait Sith is a Celtic name that means fairy cat. It somehow seems fitting for this cat.

This gray tabby showed up around the house about 5 years ago...? He kept his distance but I left dry cat food by the front door because that's just what I do. After a few years he cautiously approached me... if I sat on the porch and read the newspaper and ignored him.

I knew at some point, as long as he hung around, I needed to catch him and bring him in and neuter him. But when I decided the time had come, he vanished, only to show up hurt.

He got in a fight with something, maybe a racoon, and was torn to shreds. I only caught glimpses of him. After he healed a little and came close again, I was ready to nab him, but before I could get the cat carrier out he was gone again. The next morning I heard the screeches and howls of a fight... I still don't know that it was a cat. He was gone.

It was a couple of days before he appeared again. He limped across the front porch, leaving bloody footprints in his wake. His face was swollen and when I pressed on his cheek, blood an pus oozed from his left eye socket.

I got him to the vet. He was debrided, his wounds were cleaned and I got antibiotics. I brought him home and put him in a bathtub. A box with layers of old towels was at one end, a litter box was at the other end. The next morning I found him curled up in the litter box. I prodded him out, scraped the kitty litter from his wounds and left it. We did this for several days.

He began to heal.

After spending over $300 for health care, there was no way I was going to let him out again. He still lives in my house and is OK with Domino and Cait Sith.

But he doesn't like dogs and he's a trouble maker! He'll sneak up on one of the dogs and then hiss and spit at him when the dog reacts.

But he's a sweet cat. And he's a part of the household now. He still doesn't like the dogs and he's not sure about Ripley, the rat.
