Been Gone. . .

Hi guys.  I haven't been on here for awhile.  I am on dial-up so things go slow normally but lately it's been soo slow ma and I couldn't even get in here...  but we heard others had similar problems so we don't feel alone. Everything is up and running great today!

 

Anyhow, I miss you all and am sorry I haven't been meowing much lately.

Sittin' On Stuff

I have an obssession with sitting on things.

 

These are the things I have sat on lately:

 

The newspaper that was on the floor because mom was reading it.

- Mom's school books.

- Mom's calendar.

- Mom's  lunchbox.

- The kitchen rug mom had moved to the other room so she could mop the kitchen floor.

- Any magazine I can find.

- A suitcase.

- A box.

 

 

Basically, if something is left out that is relatively stable, flat, and has enough space to fit my bottom, I will sit on it.  There is no explanation for this. I am compelled.  Is it a mental issue? 

 

Birthday

Mom and dad told me my birthday is today. Since they don't know when my real birthday is they made me have the same one as my dog sister so it is easy to remember. But, that makes me mad. I already share enough with her now I have to share my darn birthday too! That's for the dogs. . . It's KING Kitty Man today, it's my birthday - I can do what I want!

Punishment

So, I got the ultimate punishment the other night.  Sleeping outside.  I know, I know - you're thinking "How horrible!"  I guess it was my own fault.  Each night around 9 pm, Dad comes calling for me to come in because I know he is going to shut the dog door soon to keep the squirrels, possums, racoons. . . out.  Well, if he calls - and I don't make it in time . . . dad says I deserve to sleep outside.  I can't help it if I was asleep in my cat house, sleeping so soundly I didn't even hear his calls.  So, when I finally awoke - the door was shut.  I tried everything to get it open (I can't meow good, remember) including throwing my whole body against the door multiple times.  I know my mom and dad heard me - they were just too lazy to get out of bed.  Before you go feeling too sorry for me, I do have an enclosed porch to sleep in - not just out in the open.  I guess I better come when dad calls, at least for a little while.

Meowing is overrated.

I can't meow.  I probably used to be able to. But I stopped long before my new humans got me.  I have a really scratchy voice and can barely make a sound - but its never like a real meow.  Most of the time it doesn't matter that I can't make a peep.  But one time, my mommy accidently locked me in her closet because I snuck in there to investigate when she was getting ready for work. I could have really used a meow then. But, I went to sleep, and she eventually came home and let me out. At least this time, curiousity didn't kill that cat.
