My mummy bought me from a shop on 20 November 2005, she said I was the most prettiest girl in the window. Correction mum, I IS BEAUTIFUL!!!

My mummy says Im a very moody girl, but I only throw tantrums to get what I want... It works you should try it...

I live at my Nanny and Poppy´s house with my mummy and daddy, but mummy says we are moving soon... YAY I´ll get free roam of the house!!

I´m mummy´s little princess and can get anything I ask for.. I know how to get mummy to give in... I have had 2 litters of kittens, but my ummy has since got me desexed...

I dont like male humans, I ony like my daddy, execpt when I get into trouble...

My name is Varekai. My mummy got me from a petshop when I was really little for my daddy and as a playmate for my sister.

I live with my mummy, daddy, my sister Gypsy and brother Little One.

Mummy calls me her little sook, its the best way to get cuddles... Im not a very active cat, I like to sleep alot, mainly outside if my mum lets me out. I like to play with my dog Roxy, we chase each other around the backyard, except she is bigger then me and sometimes gets a little rough. I also like to sneak up on my brother and tackle him when e is not watching, its funny to watch him jump for the sky.

Im quite sneaky and mum usually looses me coz I hide in weird places. I like to sleep in weird ways but hate it when I fall off the bed.

This is a dedication to my much loved baby girl SOUL!!

My beautiful Soul passed away on 29 November 2006 at the age of 8 months from the effusive (wet) form of Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). F.I.P is a rare disease and has no cure yet. Both myself and our Vet are resarching this disease and trying to make our community of Cat Lovers a little more aware of this deadly disease. Soul was the first reported case in our area.

Soul, I will never forget the day you came into our lives and joined our wonderful family. It was 9th April 2006 and you were only about 3 weeks old. You were taken from your mother prematuraly by her human family and left for dead in the middle of the road. Your aunty Alanna saw you when she was driving past and picked both you and your brother up and bought you to your new home.

From Day #1 you were my angel, my little girl, I never let you or your brother out of my sight and slept with both you and your brother on the lounge as everytime I went to bed and turn the lights off you would cry for me. You had to be bottled fed the first week, and your doctor said she didn´t think you would survive. But you were a fighter and put on so much weight you were soon able to eat kitten food. Both Varekai and Gypsy took to you, and its like they understood you had gone through a terrible experience. Gypsy taught you to use the kitty litter and Varekai taught you how to run riot around the house. They taught you how to be a house cat.

You got upto alot of silly things, but each one was more hilarious then the last. You cried for abit when your brother went to his new home, but you quickly realised he hadnt gone far and that you would see him often so you settled down. Raidin is missing your play dates.

We moved to a new home in September ´06 and you quickly became both and indoor and outdoor cat. You would bring me all sorts of presents home from your adventures in the garden and make friends with any new animal in the street. You never had a bad bone in you and was loved by everyone. Gypsy would mother you, and every where Gypsy went, we were sure to find you close behind. You would sook at your daddy for tummy rubs and cuddles every night until he gave in, and he soon taught you to roll over and give him high five before he would rub your tummy.

Time flew by so fast in our wonderful little family, it took us a while to realise how big you were getting. When you started to put on weight, we didnt think anything of it as you had been such a healthy kitten who loved her food. You didnt show any signs of serious illness, you were still such an active cat.

The day you left us my dear Souly, will always be in my memory, as I am missing you so much. It came as a shock to me when the doctor said you were really sick with F.I.P, you were the first reported case in our area. The doctor told me you may of got it from your mum and it was a hard disease to diagnose, thats why it wasnt picked up on your monthly check-ups. Your stomach was full of fluid, (we thought you were just enjoying your food) and daddy came home to find you comatosed under the bed. Daddy called me and we rushed you to the doctors, mummy broke down in tears when I was told the devastating news that would change our little family forever. The doctor told me the disease was to far along to even try to treat and that you could either be put to sleep or live the last remaining days. I could not bring myself to let you suffer any further pain so we made the decision to let you be with God.

I was there with you and told you how much I loved you and always will love you. I gave you your favourite teddy bear to go to sleep with. I held your paw as the doctor gave you your needle, I stroked you and kissed you untl you fell asleep one last time with your mummy. You were only 8 months old.

We buried you in your favourite blanket, in your favourite spot in the garden under the wattle tree. You are at Rest now, in the care of God, I now you are watching us from above and waiting for the day we will be a family together again.

Soul you changed our lives, you brought love, happiness and joy to our family. Mummy, Daddy, Gypsy and Varekai all miss you dearly. We always tell your newest brother, Little One, all about you and how special you were.

I am missing you so much Mummy´s lil girl, and I light a candle for you every night. Rest In Peace my baby xoxox
