They say my mom was half wild and my father was a wild jungle cat. I was adopted by a bunch of loud guys, so I used to go hang out with my friend babs in her room, away from all those boys. When babs moved out of that house, they told her she could take me with her, since I was basically her cat and she named me. I was named after a nametag she found in the washing machine at the laundromat for a grocery store called Kash N Karry with the name Sneha on it.

My old human, babs used to love me a lot and I was her little sidekick. But then she had to move across country and didn't want me to have to go out there and stay with her in a house where they already had 6 cats! She knew I wouldn't like that very much so she left me with her own mom. I've been living with my grandma, who's now my mom for 10 years now. We are a great team. She'll write more about me later if she ever figures out how to work this thing.

I love to meet new people whenever they come over to the house. When my mom comes home from work, I always roll around on the ground so she'll pet my belly. If you talk to me I always answer. I have a funny scratchy voice. I am VERY sensitive! You have to pet me just right or not at all. I'll always let you know if you piss me off with a hiss! Sometimes I'll bite a little, but not hard - I know what I'm doing! I thump my tail a lot because I'm very agitated! However, I am the smartest cat in the world - that's why I don't take no crap.

I like to eat, and eat a lot. Sometimes I steal that other cat's food because she doesn't eat it anyway. I only take my water fresh from the faucet, no bowl water!

I'm a creature of habit and I have a lot of funny hobbies. For a while there, I would take a stuffed frog out of the basket in the living room, and bring it up onto my mom's bed at the same time every night. Then I had a stuffed bear that I would growl at and chew on at exactly 12:30 every night.

When I was young, I was a very active outdoor cat. Now I'm kind of a fat indoor cat, but that's ok, I like the life of luxury.

I'm a very big-boned, but beautiful girl.  I used to live in a very nice house in a very nice neighborhood. But I had to live outside around the pool patio because the little girl who lived inside the house was soo allergic to me & my long, fluffy fur. So, they gave me to my new mom & although my digs aren't quite so fancy now, I get to live inside the house. Even though I live in Florida, I don't mind the heat outside on the patio or even in the garage, because it gets me some peace & quiet from that annoying other cat. She won't leave me alone. She follows me around the house, hides around corners & jumps out & swats me every chance she gets. She has claws but I don't. So when I swat her back, I can't do much damage with my little puff-ball paws. But I do stand up to her & back her down because I've got quite a few pounds on her (did I tell you I was big-boned). I've lived here 3 years now, but she still won't leave me alone. You can see why I like to be by myself even if it is hot out there.

I love to be rolled with the lint-roller. It's like getting a body massage. It feels soooo good. You all should get your humans to do it to you. You'll love it, you'll see. And because I am a Maine Coon, I make these little chirping noises when my mom rolls me to show how much I enjoy it. I talk to her.

I'm pretty happy here. I have all the crunchies I want to eat. Although, I'm not a big eater. (I have to watch my girlish figure.) We have soft food, too. But Sneha usually eats hers, then mine, too. But I don't care. Like I said, I'm watching my figure. 

I have a very gentle & sweet personality. But if I'm pushed, I will fight back. We Maine Coons are known for being gentle & reserved, just wanting to be left alone. Am I right?  If there are others of you out there, you will back me up on that, I'm sure.

 Well, that pretty well sums up my life. It's not exciting, but I'm happy. Love from me, Maddie
