I have three cats....obviously :) well, momma kitty has pretty much taken to being outside and is VERY territorial with any dogs or cats that come in her area. The kittens, however, are inside girls (they aren't spayed yet...) and they absolutely HATE the dog. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get them to start getting along with th]e \=y4=ty5 (sorry, that was Bagira) .....anyways, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the two kinds to become more social?

I Had The Same Trouble When I Brought Home My Dog. My Cats Hated Her. At Frist But They Don't Mind her anymore. One Way To Get The Cat More Socialized Is To But Your Dog In A Crate Or Something That Well Keep The Dog From Jumping Out At Them. They Well Slowly Become More Friendly With Your Dog. They Won't Be Friends Overnight It'll Take Time So Be Patient. Good Luck!

momma kitty absolutely refuses to be nice to any dog or any cat that isn't her! The kittens are taking to him a little bit. Bagira is slowly taking to him. Izzy will go up to them and somewhat play with them. My big boy, Duke, is a great dane/bull terrier mix and is somewhere in the 70 pounds. He gets too excited when they show him any affection so then he starts running and jumping, and that's the end of the play date. My little Sadie (boston terrier/border collie) just hangs out and checks them out. she doesnt chase them at all. They tolerate her ALOT more

I think the kitties would like the dogs alot more if they weren't so hyper. Duke is always trying to chase them around and stuff....so I don't blame the cats for not liking him. Momma kitty has gotten him several times with her claws...she has gotten his nose numerious time, and even got him in the eye once, yet he doesn't learn! Hopefully you won't have a hard time and it won't wake them long to become friends
